Privacy policy

We keep this short because we collect very little.

What we collect

  • Purchases: when you buy through a reseller (such as simMarket) or through our payment partner Paddle, they handle the payment and share with us your email address, the order number and the serial assigned to you, so we can deliver the product and support you. We never see your card details.
  • Activation and downloads: handled by IGTEI Hub and our licence server. Exactly what is stored is listed in the section "IGTEI Hub and your licence" below.
  • Email: if you write to us, we keep the conversation so we can help you and improve the product.

What we don't do

  • No advertising, no tracking pixels and no analytics cookies on igtei-sim.com.
  • We don't sell or share your data with anyone except the services needed to sell and deliver the product (payment partner, download hosting, email).
  • We don't send newsletters unless you ask for them. Owners may receive an email when an update for their product is ready.

IGTEI Hub and your licence

When you activate a serial in IGTEI Hub, the app sends our licence server (api.igtei.com):

  • your serial number,
  • a device ID: three one-way hashes made on your PC from the motherboard ID, the processor and the Windows installation ID (the original IDs never leave your computer),
  • the app version.

What our server stores:

  • your licence record: product, serial stored only as a one-way hash, status, and creation date;
  • the device ID hashes, with the date it was activated and the date of the last licence check;
  • the dates of transfers to a new PC;
  • which version you downloaded and when;
  • for website orders: the Paddle order and customer reference, your email address in masked form (e.g. j***@gmail.com) plus a one-way hash of it so support can find your order, and your serial in encrypted form so we can re-send it if you lose the email.

What we don't store:

  • your IP address;
  • your name;
  • your payment details;
  • anything about your PC beyond those hashes.

The app checks your licence with the server about every two weeks. It works offline for 30 days.

Who else is involved:

  • Paddle (paddle.com) sells for us on igtei-sim.com as Merchant of Record and handles payment, invoices and tax. Paddle's privacy policy applies to what you enter at checkout.
  • simMarket handles orders made there.
  • Google Workspace sends your serial email from info@igtei-sim.com, and the sent copy stays in that mailbox.
  • Cloudflare runs our servers. Like any web host it processes your IP address to deliver the connection. We don't log it, and Cloudflare handles it under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it: for as long as your licence exists, because it's your proof of purchase and makes free updates and PC transfers possible. You can ask us to delete your data at support@igtei-sim.com. A deleted licence can't be restored later.

On your PC: IGTEI Hub keeps a small file in its app data folder with your licence file, the last 4 characters of your serial, and the folders it installed into. Each installed product also gets a licence file in its own folder.

Support emails

Emails you send us are kept for as long as useful to help you.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (where we are not required to keep it, for example for accounting). Write to support@igtei-sim.com.
